How CoinPrompt airdrops work

Think of an airdrop as a digital vending machine. The creator stocks it with tokens up front, and the contract hands out exactly one portion per eligible wallet — no trust in CoinPrompt required.

The vending machine, step by step

  • 1. The creator loads the machine

The creator approves and deposits the full airdrop allocation into the AirdropEscrow contract on Base. From that moment the tokens are locked in the contract — not in a CoinPrompt wallet, and no longer spendable by the creator.

  • 2. You get a one-use token

When you press Claim, CoinPrompt checks your eligibility and signs a short-lived, wallet-specific authorisation. It is the coin you drop into the vending machine: valid once, for your address only, and it expires quickly.

  • 3. You pull your own tokens

Your wallet sends the claim transaction. The contract verifies the signature on-chain and transfers the tokens directly from escrow into your wallet. CoinPrompt never touches the tokens at any point.

  • 4. Leftovers go home

Once a campaign's end date passes, the creator can withdraw whatever is unclaimed back to their own wallet. Nothing is stranded and nothing is held by the platform.

Why it is safe

  • Cryptographic signature validation

Every claim carries a signature from the platform signer, bound to your address, the campaign and a deadline. The contract rejects anything else — replaying or editing a claim is impossible.

  • Direct-to-wallet transfers

Tokens move from the escrow contract to your address in a single on-chain transfer. There is no custodial hop and no manual payout queue.

  • Zero custody for the platform

CoinPrompt only signs authorisations. It cannot move, freeze or redirect escrowed tokens, and it pays no gas on your behalf — claims cost you a few cents of ETH on Base.
